I hadn’t dated for many years and approached Karina to give me a style make over to boost my confidence to get back into dating. At our initial consultation she asked me to bring pictures of outfits from magazines that I liked so she could get a feel for my tastes, personality and lifestyle. She explained that she would go round the shops in advance to select items that would flatter my figure and fit my budget.

On our shopping day I felt quite nervous but Karina’s friendly, calm and professional manner soon meant that I was having a ball! She was able to take me directly to the right shops and the right items and as we both went into the changing rooms it meant I could try on double the amount of clothing. She was honest about what she thought was working and challenged me to try clothing I would not usually have even considered. She also accepted a “no” if I really wasn’t sure about something. At the end of the trip I had several new outfits and a large smile on my face! I felt younger, sexier and ready for the world. I would strongly recommend Karina’s services and have received many admiring comments when I have put it all into action on my subsequent dates!

I had watched Trinny and Susannah work their magic SO many times with all these men and women who were no different than me; they were simply in need of some help!! However I realised that the chances of me getting them to pop over and sort my clothes out was never going to happen!! Then along came Karina Penny Styling!

When Karina arrived, she was warm, friendly and lots of fun! I had the wardrobe edit and big old throw out! To be honest it was just so nice to have another pair of eyes look at my stuff and tell me what suited and what didn’t.

There was no standing in the mirror with my bum on show for a stranger; it was all done to make me feel comfortable! So now I have to say there is nothing better than opening my wardrobe and feeling confident that everything in it now goes with something else in it and when put together, makes me look fab!!! I really would recommend it.

As a dancer it is very important to have a strong and unique image. I have constantly struggled with this side of the dance industry and to overcome it I enlisted the help of Karina. She asked me to send her images and ideas of what direction I wanted my look to go and what I needed the outfits for.

We then went to numerous shops and tried on many different clothes to make sure I got exactly what I wanted.

Karina made the day enjoyable, yet at the same time kept it professional and educational. I came away with a number of new looks and ideas on how to cultivate and expand upon them. I’d never used a Personal Stylist before so I wasn’t sure what to expect from the initial consultation and the shopping session itself. I booked a 2-hour session which passed much more quickly than I expected. Karina had put a lot of effort into preparing for the session and had carried out detailed research in advance, based on our initial consultation. A lot of time was saved in-store as she had pre-selected and put aside the items.

As I shop in a hurry without always trying on, shopping with a stylist showed me that many items I pick out are not the most flattering for my body shape. Karina also gently steered me away from items I tried on but whose shapes and lengths weren’t as flattering as we had initially expected. Karina’s friendly, humorous and professional approach is ideal to make nervous or time-poor shoppers get the most from their budget - I can’t wait to go again!
